Day 2 Legislative Update Panel Live Discussion    11:30-01:00      

Dr. Stefani Madison earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica (island in the Caribbean). She then moved back home and completed residency at OU Family Medicine in 2015 and Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship in 2016 at OU College of Medicine. She is boarded in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. 
Currently Dr. Madison is the director of Supportive and Palliative Care service at OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center in Oklahoma City. She is an assistant professor in the department of OU Family and Preventive Medicine. 
She is passionate about educating others on palliative care and living their best life. Her self-care is spending time with her two littles, trophy husband and RV camping. 

She is also a member of the Social Work Hospice and Palliative Care Network and serves on the Interfaith and Diversity Workgroup for the Coalition to Transform Advance Care (C-TAC), a national non-partisan organization that addresses disparities at end-of-life.

John R. Hendrix, MD, FACP, FAAHPM, HMDC is the medical director of the Ascension St. John Palliative Care Program as well as the medical director-specialty services for Ascension St. John Accountable Care Organization. He also serves as a clinical assistant  professor in the Department of Internal Medicine for the University of Oklahoma - Tulsa. Dr. Hendrix has served as board member for the Oklahoma Hospice and Palliative Care Association, serving as their legislative committee chair which he continues to lead. He also serves as the vice-chair for the Oklahoma State Department of Health Home Care, Hospice and Palliative Care Advisory Council.

Capital Plus, a government relations consulting firm, specializes in legislative strategy and aiding clients in understanding the complexities of legislation and political realities. Luke assists in developing legislative strategies and effectively advocates legislators on behalf of clients including the Oklahoma Hospice and Palliative Care Association. In addition to his professional pursuits, Luke is active in public service and community duties. He serves on the Advisory Board for the Sigma Nu Fraternity at Oklahoma State University. Luke is also very active with other civic organizations, including Allied Arts and the United Way. He is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma Class XXII, and was awarded “Achiever Under 40” designated by The Journal Record in 2009.
